Custom Framing

Do I need to schedule an appointment or consultation?

No appointment is needed! However, if you have a large project or multiple pieces, we recommend contacting us to make an appointment so we can dedicate the appropriate time to them.

What should I bring to a framing consultation?

Bring the artwork, pictures, objects, or image files you’d like to frame. If you’re unsure precisely what you’d like to include in your framing project, bring a selection and our design team will help you create a stunning design. Although not necessary, photos of your space or color swatches can be helpful to share with our team to help us ensure your artwork will perfectly complement your space.

How do I choose the right frame for my artwork?

Our team of designers will guide you through the selection process. We’ll collaborate with you to select a frame that complements your artwork, style, space, and budget.

Do you offer conservation or archival framing?

Yes! Our team of Certified Picture Framers® is experienced in archival framing techniques. We are experienced in framing artwork and objects to museum standards, including various mounting techniques.

We carry an extensive line of standard, acid-free, and conservation 100% cotton rag Museum Quality mats and various backer boards. Original, valuable artworks are treated with high-quality conservation materials. We will often select acrylic for valuable archival pieces to ensure protection from the potential of broken glass.

Can you frame oversized or uniquely shaped items?

Yes! Our specialty is custom framing. We are expert problem solvers and enjoy developing solutions for every framing project, big or small!

How much does custom framing cost?

The price of custom framing varies depending on the size and materials used to frame your artwork. We offer a range of options to meet any budget. During your consultation, we encourage you to share your budget so that we can design with your budget in mind!

How long does the custom framing process take?

Our typical turnaround time is two weeks. When you place your order, we’ll provide an estimated completion date. Large, intricate, or complex pieces may require more time to complete. We can complete rush orders at an additional charge.

Do you sell framed artwork?

We offer a selection of framed artwork. Visit our gallery to see our selection.

What types of objects can I include in a shadow box?

Anything! We’ve framed everything from photos, trophies, medallions, jerseys, entire outfits, kimonos, softballs, shoes, paw prints, spears, spoons, guitar picks, concert tickets, and much more.

Do you frame jerseys or other clothing items?

Yes! We’ve framed jerseys, cheerleading uniforms, t-shirts, vintage swimsuits, and more. Add photos, tickets, or engraved plates to your custom framing project.

Do you frame diplomas?

Yes! We use conservation and acid-free materials to frame diplomas and other important documents, ensuring they last a lifetime!

Do you frame puzzles?

Yes, we frame puzzles! Complete your puzzle and deliver it to our shop.  We can provide a cardboard folder to transport your puzzle to our shop, and if a few pieces come loose, we’ll put them back together. There is no glue required! Glue can damage the surface of the puzzle. We use permanent mounting techniques to secure your puzzle and retain its original appearance. We can even mount wooden and oddly shaped puzzles!

Do you stretch canvas?

Yes! We stretch canvas. We can also print to canvas and help you select the perfect presentation with gallery-wrapped, floater, and standard frame options!

What glass or acrylic options are available for framed artwork?

We use Tru Vue® high-performance glazing products. Our experienced team will guide you through the selection process based on your framing project.

If you are shipping artwork for exhibition, we recommend framing your artwork with acrylic. If you have a piece framed with glass, we can replace the glass with plexiglass.

Artwork Care Tips

How should I clean and maintain my artwork?

Clean your framed artwork’s glass with a microfiber cloth using non-ammonia cleaner. Be sure to spray the cloth, not the glass, to ensure the cleaner does not damage the artwork in the frame. We also recommend canned air for light dusting.

Can I leave my framed artwork in my car?

We do not recommend leaving your framed artwork in your car. Bring your artwork indoors as soon as possible to protect and preserve it. Extreme temperatures can cause significant damage to the glass, frame, and artwork itself.

How should I store my artwork?

We recommend storing your artwork in a dry, temperature-controlled space. Wrap your artwork and store it vertically. If storing multiple pieces of artwork, be sure to store them back-to-back or face-to-face to ensure the hardware does not scratch the surface of your other artwork.

Fine Art Printing

Do you sell prints?

Yes! We offer a selection of prints available in our showroom. We also have print books with additional options to select the perfect artwork for your space.

What file formats and resolution are required for printing?

We prefer the following file formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and PDF. We may be able to accept other file formats.

We recommend a file resolution of 300 DPI or higher for optimal printing quality.

What is the typical turnaround time for printing and scanning?

Printing typically takes one to three business days, depending on the quantity of prints. When you place your order, we’ll provide an estimated completion date.
